About Our Firm

Haas McNeil & Associates, P.A. is a law firm dedicated to serving North Carolina families with the problems and issues families often face. We support and advise individuals in legal matters ranging from separation and divorce to helping them protect their family's wealth through intelligent estate planning. Our goal is to create connected, long-lasting relationships with our clients so they feel secure protected when problems arise.

Our firm provides many services around material and family relations, such as prenuptial agreements, separation agreements, child custody and support, alimony, property division (equitable distribution), divorce, domestic violence, adoption and paternity. We use a variety of methods to achieve a fair and equitable result, including mediation, arbitration, collaborative law, and litigation. It is our goal to achieve our client's goals while at the same time keeping the long-term picture in mind. Regardless of the outcome of the case, the parties will still have a responsibility to co-parent their children and we are committed to do what we can to minimizing the negative impact that legal proceedings may have on the relationship between the parents.

In the area of wills and estate planning, we assist clients in preserving the fruits of their life's work to pass on to their children. Over 70% of Americans do not have a Last Will and Testament, which leaves open the possibility that the government may receive much or all of their estates when they die. Far fewer have Living Wills or Health Care Power of Attorney, which could give direction to loved ones regarding your care if you incapacitated and are unable to speak for yourself. While many people do not need a comprehensive estate plan, these basic documents can go a long way to protect loved ones when the unthinkable happens.

The attorneys of our firm share a common vision and commitment to our clients and our community. Our attorneys hold the common belief that, as attorneys, it is both our honor and our privilege serve others. The partners of our firm are highly trained in leadership development and share a strong belief that it is our responsibility to work with clients and opposing counsels to create the best possible resolution to any conflict, especially where children are involved. We demand the highest levels of integrity and responsibility from our attorneys and staff, and seek to redefine the standards of honor and professionalism in the legal community.
